I have finally upgraded my out-of-date version of WordPress. It is such a pain in the ass to update a blog script such as this because apart from it being large (over 1,500 files) but also very customized. Each time I upgrade the script I have to edit 20 or so files with custom bits of code I have so that it does what I want it to do. A bit annoying but when you are a few versions behind you have no choice.
Plus it is pretty exciting when you just installed a new version to see what new features it has. This time around I’ve noticed the tagging system. As you probably already seen there are a few tags as I have been tagging pasts posts, but as there are nearly 160 posts I got bored half way through and I will be tagging posts that I will be making from today onwards.
These are the trailers for some of the upcoming movies that I am looking forward to seeing:
The Bourne Ultimatum
“Today, 130 homes have been raided in Germany under the allegation of filesharing. Law enforcement agencies had been monitoring an eDonkey-Server for two months. 3500 identified users are being investigated. Searches took place when users shared more than 500 files. Partners of the music industry helped identifying copyrighted material, but monitoring of the servers was solely done by law enforcement.”
Taken from Slashdot. A few comments down for the article above there was this comment:
Last week I was sitting around, screwing around on fark.com, when there was a knock at the door. My mom awnsered it, and it was an individual claiming to be from the RIAA, along with two county sheriff’s deputies. My mom (stupidly) let them in, and the deputies came into my room and proceeded to throw me to the ground while the RIAA guy started looking around on my computer. I demanded to see a warrant and informed them that they did not have permission to search my belongings, but they said that they didn’t need one due to some new state law (I live in Missouri). Anyway, they eventually found my stash of MP3s and my mom got scared and said “you’re moving with your auntie and your uncle to Bel-Air” I whistled for a cab and when it came near the licensplate said fresh and had a dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought now forget it, yo home to Bel-Air! I pulled up to a house about seven or eight, and I yelled to the cabby yo, home smell you later. Looked at my kingdom I was finally there, to settle my throne as the prince of Bel-Air.
The link to the actual comment is here. Slashdot is one of those sites with rare but very funny comments…
I have noticed that a very grammatically retarded person or persons have been posting some rather amusing comments. The reason why they are amusingis because they are full of words which don’t make sense and/or they are in the dictionary. Maybe they are in the RETARDED DICTIONARY, but not in any that I know of.

Words such as “da, dis, cuz”, and many more are used in the [sarcasm] rather very insulting [/sarcasm] comments. Maybe I have missed something or maybe I wasn’t paying too much attention at school or skived the lesson which they taught you how to use these words.
Yes I know they are abbreviations of the actual words - da = the, dis = this, cuz = because, etc. - but the point is that these abbreviations should only be used in only extreme cases such as when you are writinga text message and you only have just enough money to send one text message. Only then and then only you have to resort of going through your text message and shrinking down the words so that you can fit all of it in one 145 character text message.
Also another reason why the comments are amusing, is because they don’t actually get submitted, they go to the “Moderation Department” - meaningany comments which contain certain keywords are automatically sent in for moderation. My site - my rules - don’t like it - go somewhere else.
News just in! nokitel.co.uk has been selected to help produce a new Western movie! For a sneak preview of the actors involved, here is the poster for the movie:

There was some downtime over the weekend. As much as I would of liked it to have been an April’s Fool thing, it wasn’t. Is not important on the reasons why there was the downtime, but everything is up and running as normal.
Enjoy reading my bitching.

Went for a walk today with my girlfriend and took some pictures of the scenery etc. You can find them on the right-hand side in the menu under Laxey.
I think they look OK considering the fact that they were taken with my Konica Minolta Dimage X50. And obviously I am not even an amateur photographer, just do it for fun! So yeh, enjoy them.
Am adaugat pe site niste poze facute cand am fost in Romania in 2005 in vara. Nimic special, numai la ce am avut ocazia sa fac poze!
// I’ve just added some photos taken in Romania in the summer of 2005. Nothing special, just took photos when I had the occasion!
