Nothing new really… (yet)

So what have I been up to? Well, apart from the fact of working like a slave, doing some little revision for the exams coming up next week, I haven’t had time to do anything, believe it or not. Plus I have no money to do anything. I am saving it all away for my holiday. Finally, after four years of working and moving places I get to go on a holiday, which is back home. So not really a holiday, but is one to some extent.

I was going through my some boxes that I had all miscellaneous items from were I used to live, which they brought back some memories. I even found a news paper picture that has me in it! Woha, am I famous or what? Not really, you can see the top of my head, if you call that famous, then you obviously haven’t seen or heard about Big Brother, but that’s a completely different thing which I have a rant coming along for that. There is nothing else new as far as I can think of.

The new place were the blog is situated now only happened by coincidence. First of all I was going to purchase some hosting, I saw this website were it had a free domain name (.com, .org, .net) and something like 300GB bandwidth per month, 5GB space and some other shit, all for $7.77 per month but you had to pay for all of it at the beginning. So if I was to sign up for one year contract I would pay something like $100. The figure is not accurate but is around that. So anyway, I went to all the trouble to sign up, choose the domain name and everything only to find out that they wanted all the money at once. lol. :D :D So how the fuck is the $7.77 is going to work? When is that going to kick in? I don’t care about how much is going to cost overall for one year, I just want to pay $7.77 and that’s it. Like I’d have $100 near the end of the month in my bank account. Haha… They’d be lucky. So I was pissed off, couldn’t believe that shitty websites like those bullshit you with “$7.77 per month!” advertisement, so that when you sign up and you go to check your account you notice over $100 have gone towards your hosting. Well it didn’t work for me as I didn’t have enough money for them to take out. lol. So I was safe there.

Back to the point of how I managed to get hosting and a domain name is through a friend of mine. A very good friend of mine that I’ve known him since I came into the internet scene over 4-5 years ago. Before that I couldn’t use a computer to even use the calculator, but to run a blog. I didn’t even know English! :P So anyway, I was asking him what he would recommend and were to go and look, so he offered me some. Out of the blue he said that he could host my blog as long as it didn’t take too much space or bandwidth. Now a blog can’t take that much bandwidth can it? :P

So all respect and thanks goes to him, and while his site is still under development (until whenever) I won’t place a link here for it yet.
